Homeschool Resources in Fort Wayne, IN
For my readers around the country (and around the world), I apologize — this post doesn’t really apply to you. I encourage you to find the resources in your own community because it’s VITAL for homeschoolers to network (we’ll call it professional development for your position as the administrator and teacher of your personal school).
For new or used homeschoolers, these are the best resources I can find for you for the Fort Wayne Area:
Fort Wayne Area Home Schools – FWAHS is a TERRIFIC starting point. They host free orientations for you to ask questions and inform you about the laws and some of the options of beginning to homeschool. They keep a list of homeschool support groups who can give you additional help and host a great variety of activities for you and your students. FWAHS puts out an incredible newsletter, the Homemade News, with TONS of scheduled activities that are specific to homeschoolers or open to the public. They host a Curriculum Expo, a used book sale, a lending library, a graduation ceremony, a list of homeschool sports teams and more…
Facebook has some incredible resources
-
Fort Wayne Homeschool Moms presently has almost 700 members. You have to request to join the group, but there are LOTS of moms able to answer your questions.

Fort Wayne Homeschoolers is a super friendly group of over 400 members. There would be plenty of people to help you there, too!
There are many co-ops, classes and support groups in our area! It’s worth the search to find one that fits your family and individual children.
